wantspacegotspace.co.uk - Dunlop Heywood acquires, expands and strengthens UK operationsManchester-based commercial property consultancy Dunlop Heywood has expanded its UK operations overnight with a business acquisition, two new offices and the launch of a Licensed Trade, Leisure & Hotel Division (LTLH).

In Newcastle, Dunlop Heywood has acquired chartered surveyors Bissett Kenning and Newiss for an undisclosed sum, with immediate effect. The 6 existing employees will form part of the new Dunlop Heywood team and remain based at the Bissett Kenning offices in Newcastle Business Park, NE4. They will continue to offer: Rating Services, Asset & Property Management, Agency & Investment, Project & Building and Landlord & Tenant services.

The second office to be established under the Dunlop Heywood banner is based at Princes Dock, Liverpool, and will help the Rating and Property & Asset Management teams service national clients such as Peel Holdings, Port of Liverpool and Speedy Hire Plc. This office now brings the number of Dunlop Heywood bases to 7 including its head office in King Street, Manchester. M1.

The final element of this strategic expansion was the establishment on the new LTLH Division in London, led by Philip Booth. Philip is former Head of LTLH, both at GVA Grimley and Grant Thornton, as well as having run his own successful specialised LTLH Practice in the Capital.

Already up and running, the team is based out of new offices in Berkeley House, Berkeley Square, W1. Philip is supported by Howard Greenwood. Client included: Barclay Capital, Deloittes, Marstons, McManus Taverns and Greene King.

Instructions will cover sales and acquisitions of pubs, restaurants, hotels, wine bars, nightclubs and health clubs; business appraisals, valuations, rating and investment, individual property and portfolio sales and acquisitions for major funds and institutions, as well as particular emphasis on the public houses, hotels and health and fitness sectors.
