Emms Gilmore Liberson continues to grow

wantspacegotspace.co.uk - Emms Gilmore Liberson continues to growOne of Birmingham’s youngest law firms is continuing its expansion shortly after celebrating its second birthday.

Experienced solicitor Kian Golestani has joined Emms Gilmore Liberson to boost the corporate and commercial property team.

His arrival as Director of Corporate Services brings Emms Gilmore Liberson’s staffing to a total of 15 staff including 12 fee earners as the firm celebrated its second birthday in May.

Emms Gilmour Liberson announced earlier this month that former Cobbetts/DWF director Terry Cooper is also joining the firm to spearhead the development of its private client service.

Mr Golestani has spent his entire career since qualification in the Midlands. He practised most recently at Jennings Perks & Co where he was partner in charge of the business services department.  In the 25 years since qualifying he has also been a partner at Shakespeare Putsman, Oldham Rust Jobson and Keely Smith & Jobson.

Emms Gilmore Liberson director Greg Emms said: “Kian brings a strong track record in the corporate and commercial property marketplace.

“As well as a history of acting for major UK corporates and owner managed businesses, he has also acted and continues to act for German and Austrian clients in connection with the establishment and operation of their businesses in the UK.”

He trained in the city, completing his Law Society Finals at Birmingham Polytechnic and now lives in Solihull, where he is married with two grown up children.

He is a trustee on the board of two registered charities and is chairman of the Ashworth Charitable Trust.

Emms Gilmore Liberson was launched in 2011 by directors Greg Emms, Stephen Gilmore and Martyn Liberson who were all partners at Lee Crowder before going their separate ways following the merger with Cobbetts LLP.

They established a limited company with themselves as directors and opened for business on May 9 in Lancaster House, Newhall Street, Birmingham, where they have since expanded, having taken on an extra floor to facilitate the firm’s continuing growth.
