Expansion plans unwrapped for packaging company DeltaGlobalSource by Innes England

Expansion plans unwrapped for packaging company DeltaGlobalSource by Innes EnglandExpansion plans for an international packaging company are set to continue following the acquisition of new Leicester premises in a deal secured by property agent Innes England.

Retail packaging company DeltaGlobalSource has moved from its existing premises at Enderby to a 35,000 sq ft office and warehouse facility in Whetstone after a period of strong demand from customers.

The firm, which employs 23 people in Leicester, produces luxury and retail paper, polythene and fabric carrier bags, rigid and flat-pack boxes, mail order packaging, tissue, stickers and ribbons.

With its primary offices in the UK and China, the company has been benefiting from growing demand in Europe and Asia with turnover predictions more than doubling to £9m in less than five years.

Its client list has included the likes of Mulberry, John Smedley, Paul Smith, Ted Baker and Paperchase.

Robert Lockyer, managing director at DeltaGlobalSource, said: “In spite of increased pressures in the retail sector, this is the right time for us to invest in our future growth. The move to new premises will help us to service our clients more efficiently and help us to expand the business through an increase in sales at the luxury end of the market along with increased exports.”

Innes England acted on behalf of its client Hardinge in the deal. The commercial property consultancy was able to negotiate a letting of the premises in Whiteacres in conjunction with the landlord, Hormann (UK) Ltd, to enable DeltaGlobalSource to take occupation.

Peter Doleman, director at Innes England’s Leicester office, said: “I am very pleased with the outcome we have achieved for all parties.

“Whilst the levels of industrial takeup are still dominated by smaller transactions, this latest activity shows that there is a growing demand for larger premises along with encouraging signs of confidence within the industrial sector.”

Sturgis Snow & Astil represented the landlord. Law firm Spearing Waite acted for DeltaGlobalSolutions in the deal with Nelsons acting for the landlord.
