Fulton Boiler Works relocates to Fishponds in Bristol after 26 years in Brislington

wantspacegotspace.co.uk - Fulton Boiler Works relocates to Fishponds in Bristol after 26 years in BrislingtonBristol-based Fulton Boiler Works, which manufactures steam, hot water and thermal fluid heat transfer products, has acquired the freehold of 5 Fernhurst Road in Fishponds, Bristol to facilitate its expansion.

The company, which has been based at Broomhill Road in Brislington for the past 26 years, has secured one of the few quality warehouse buildings currently available in the city.  The property provides 42,828 sq ft of modern warehouse and office accommodation and was acquired from SIG plc.

Announcing the move, managing director Paul Richards says: “The move to the new facility in Bristol will help us manage current demand and plan for the future. The increased space will also allow us to introduce the latest, state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and the technologies that will enable Fulton to create the energy saving systems of the future.”

He goes onto say that, as a result of the move, the manufacture of larger boiler pressure vessels for UK and export markets will return to Bristol from Fulton’s facilities in China.

Andrew Ridler, partner at property consultants Alder King which acted for SIG plc, said: “It’s vital that successful manufacturers like Fulton have access to modern premises to facilitate expansion and drive economic recovery yet the reality is that there are few quality buildings of an up to date specification ready for immediate occupation.

“With limited speculative development and the very real supply issues that we face across Bristol and indeed the South West, some occupiers will now only be able to satisfy their needs via the design and build route.”

Malcolm Gunter of Williams Gunter Hardwick which represented Fulton, added: “We are delighted to have secured this property for Fulton.  It will provide the perfect springboard for Fulton’s continued product development and employment for what we hope will be the next 26 years.”
