Historic property, Cambrian Buildings, nearing full capacity after duo of lettings

wantspacegotspace.co.uk - Historic property, Cambrian Buildings, nearing full capacity after duo of lettingsOne of Cardiff Bay’s landmark historic office properties, Cambrian Buildings, is now almost fully occupied following two recent lettings by joint property agents Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) and Savills.

Only 1,020 sq ft of space remains in the 25,000 sq ft Grade II listed building on Mount Stuart Square since the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Wales Cymru and Third Sector Consortia Management (3SC) committed to sharing the 2,500 sq ft second floor suite of offices.

ICE Wales Cymru, which occupies 1300 sq ft of the available space, has relocated from Bay Chambers on West Bute Street. 3SC a company that manages public services contracts on behalf of third sector organisations, has its HQ in London and has chosen Cambrian Buildings as its new base in Wales.

ICE Wales Cymru has committed to a five year lease with 3SC taking on a three year lease.

Cambrian Buildings was constructed at the turn of the 20th century and has been extensively refurbished inside and out by its owners London and County to create a high quality contemporary business environment.

Comments Dave Blyth of LSH’s office agency team: “These two new tenants will become part of a thriving business community with an interesting mix of organisations also based in the building.

“The Design Commission for Wales (DCFW Ltd) took up residence earlier in the year, moving in alongside Active Quote, Literature Wales, The Older People’s Commission, Cynnal Cymru and NUS Wales.”

Keith Jones, Director ICE Wales Cymru said: “We are delighted with our new accommodation in the heart of Cardiff Bay.  We chose the historic Cambrian Buildings which has been refurbished to a high, modern specification as it was a good fit with our organisation which was established in 1818 and is still shaping the world.”
