Imtech moves into Belleknowes Industrial Estate, Fife

wantspacegotspace.co.uk - Imtech moves into Belleknowes Industrial Estate, FifeImtech Marine UK Ltd, a leading provider of technology solutions to the global marine market, has secured a new unit in Belleknowes Industrial Estate in Inverkeithing, Fife, to service a major contract at Rosyth Dockyard.

The company has agreed a deal for a five year lease with landlord Hermes Property Unit Trust (HPUT) for Unit 7 – a circa 3,476 sq ft refurbished industrial unit.

Founded in 1860, Imtech Marine UK Ltd is headquartered in Rotterdam and employs more than 2,600 employees in 90 offices worldwide. The company specialises in providing innovative, high quality technology for vessels and platforms, working closely with shipbuilders, shipowners and naval architects around the world.

Comprising a total of 22 industrial units arranged in terraced rows, Belleknowes currently has a range of tenants trading on the estate, including Kwik Fit, National Oilwell Varco, Delitalia, Plumbstore and the recently expanded Scottish Grass and Machinery.

Belleknowes is prominently located at Junction 1 on the M90 motorway, only half a mile from the Forth Road Bridge, the new Forth crossing and 12 miles north of Edinburgh. Formerly famed for its ship yards in the earlier part of the 20th Century, Inverkeithing has retained its reputation as an industrial hub, and remains popular with industrial occupiers who value its central location and commercial viability. Only unit 9 is currently available, spanning approximately 3,441 sq ft at the circa 135,000 sq ft estate.

Kirsty Palmer, Associate Director, Industrial and Logistics, for Jones Lang LaSalle, commented: “Belleknowes Industrial Estate has established a reputation as one of the East Coast’s most desirable industrial locations, attracting demand from both local commerce and multinational corporations.

Imtech’s decision to extend its network into Belleknowes is testament to both the quality of the accommodation and its central location with excellent links to the M90.”
