Jones Lang LaSalle secures deals in Cheadle

wantspacegotspace.co.uk - Jones Lang LaSalle secures deals in CheadleThe Manchester industrial team at Jones Lang LaSalle has secured five deals totalling 36,000 sq ft at Lawnhurst Trading Estate in Cheadle.

Restaurant chain Rice Flame Bar & Grill took 12,443 sq ft at the estate on Bird Hall Lane, where it will operate a storage and distribution centre.

Automotive parts supplier Inchape took a 5,888 sq ft unit, global engineering business Honeywell will occupy 5,953 sq ft and smart glass manufacturer GlasNovations signed for a 5,500 sq ft unit.

The new signings join defence electronics supplier, Thales, which renewed its lease on a 5,946 sq ft unit it has occupied since 2005.

Lawnhurst Trading Estate was acquired by Scottish Widows Investment Partnership's in 2011 and is managed by Centurion Industrial Asset Management.

Michael Jones, asset manager at Centurion, said: "To attract four new occupiers in quick succession, especially of this calibre, and to retain existing occupiers, is a great result.

"These deals highlight the quality of the refurbishment and reflect the sustained investment the estate is benefitting from."

Lawnhurst Trading Estate comprises 200,000 sq ft of space across 16 units.

Only three units remain vacant at the site, including a 84,000 sq ft warehouse and distribution facility which was refurbished and rebranded at the end of 2012.

Jones Lang LaSalle and B8 Real Estate acted for the landlord.
