Junior Sports Programme Trust – Fundraising Success

wantspacegotspace.co.uk - Junior Sports Programme Trust – Fundraising Success - Hodgson ElkingtonThe Junior Sports Programme Trust, the sports charity set up and administered by Hodgson Elkington LLP was the chosen local charity at the recent Institute of Directors Luncheon held at the Bentley Hotel on Friday, 30th November 2012.

The Guest Speaker at the Lunch was the former World Champion and Olympic Medalist in the Javelin, Steve Backley, who gave an amusing and enlightening address after the Lunch.  Steve Backley is pictured with Ian O’May, Sam Elkington, Chris Hodgson and Dan Race of Hodgson Elkington LLP who help administer the Charity.

“We raised almost £1,100 on the day through cash donations which will increase significantly with the Gift Aid process” said Senior Partner of Hodgson Elkington, Sam Elkington.

Chris Hodgson, also a Director of the Charity, said “These funds will go a long way towards helping fund local sports clubs, associations and individuals seeking help through local charities.  We aim to provide funding for sports clubs whose junior sections (under 16 years old) are struggling for funds.  We have had an extremely successful year and know that the funds gained at the Luncheon will be put to good use.

We are extremely grateful for the opportunity from the Local Committee of the Institute of Directors”.

Any junior sports person, or club or association looking for funding can obtain application forms from the Charity’s website: www.juniorsport.co.uk.
