Lincolnshire Co-Op Strawberry Hall Lane complex off Lincoln Road, Newark, is now fully let.Halfords Autocentres and ECA Toolfast have snapped-up units at a prime location, which is on the doorstep of thousands of homes and close to shopping and business parks.

Lincolnshire Co-operative’s Strawberry Hall Lane complex off Lincoln Road, Newark – near to the Northern Road industrial estates and just 300 metres from the Northgate Retail Park, which is home to national players such as Next, Currys and Homebase – is now fully let.

Today Lincoln-based chartered surveyor Banks Long & Co revealed that Lincolnshire Co-operative’s decision to capitalise on this high profile site, close to the A46 and A1 has proved a sound move.

Surveyor Matthew Brooks said: “We have let Units 1 and 2 to ECA Toolfast, an expanding regional operator which already has four showrooms. ECA supplies power tools and hand tools to the construction industry and also carries out repairs and hires out tools.

“The business has brought its name to Newark as a result of the growth in demand which has recently been evidence in the trade counter sector.”

Unit 3 – the largest unit (3,658 sq ft) at Strawberry Hall Lane – has attracted the site’s anchor tenant Halfords, which is aggressively expanding its Autocentre arm (formerly known as Nationwide Autocentre), which offers vehicle servicing, repairs and MOTs.

“These lettings add up to a real lift for this site, which had lain vacant for many years but which, thanks to Lincolnshire Co-operative’s funding has resulted in the delivery of a strategically well-placed scheme,” said Mr Brooks.

“As a result we have generated interest from two excellent covenants, which has led to the letting of all three units. This will be of real benefit to this area and also generate local jobs.”
