Listed South Manchester village landmark let

wantspacegotspace.co.uk - Listed South Manchester village landmark letManchester commercial property agency p3 property consultants llp has let one of the oldest buildings in the south Manchester village suburb of Hale.

Ollerbarrow House on Ashley Road, provides approx 1,200 sq ft of fully refurbished offices and has been let to Sheldon Davidson Solicitors Ltd, leading specialist personal injury, industrial disease and clinical negligence solicitors acting for claimants who are victims of non-fault incidents. Head-quartered in Whitefield, the firm is expanding and relocating from an existing office in Altrincham town centre.

Ollerbarrow House was built around 1740 as part of the larger Hall estate and is of traditional farmhouse style constructed from small hand-made bricks from a local brickyard. It retains many of its original features including casement and leaded windows, stone cills, exposed beams and small gardens to front and side, giving the property considerable individuality, character and charm.

At the turn of the century as the area became built-up, the original farmhouse was used as the local police station and later by the WRVS. Its architectural and local historical importance was recognized in 1981 when it was Grade ll listed.

Commenting on the move SDS Head of Industrial Disease Emma Simcox – Oliver said:

“We are privileged to call Ollerbarrow House the new home of SDS Altrincham branch – the office combines location with period property character and real usable space to which there were very few competitors”.

Toby Nield of p3 property consultants llp, who acted as letting agent for outgoing tenants Pannone LLP, said:

“Ollerbarrow House is just a bit special and its availability has attracted a lot of interest. It sits on a prominent corner plot located on the high street running through the village centre. Everyone knows it and the appeal comes from the lovely combination of modern working space in a heritage setting”
