MAG Developments appoints new marketing manager

wantspacegotspace.co.uk - MAG Developments appoints new marketing managerThe property and development arm of Manchester Airports Group has recruited John McHugh as marketing manager from property company Bruntwood.

Based in Manchester Airport, McHugh will lead the branding and marketing strategy for MAG's property business.

He will also be responsible for enhancing the digital presence, developing marketing collateral and managing relationships with advertising and creative agencies.

In the newly created role, McHugh's remit includes MAG's existing £355m property portfolio across Manchester, East Midlands and Bournemouth airports, along with the

£650m Enterprise Zone development, Airport City Manchester.

McHugh joined Bruntwood as customer service development manager in 2006.

Stephanie Mullenger, property director of MAG, said: "John is a talented marketer with invaluable experience.

"Airports are no longer just places for travel, but destinations where businesses want to be based.

"As we evolve our property proposition and take forward key projects such as Airport City, a strong brand identity and increasing our marketing effectiveness will be

essential to attract customers and investors alike."

McHugh said: "MAG is an ambitious and well-respected company and I'm looking forward to developing its commercial property brands further, on a regional, national and

international level.

"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Bruntwood, but the opportunity to work with MAG, especially with an exciting world-class project like Airport City on the horizon, was

the right challenge at this stage in my career."

Matt Leigh Industries has been retained by MAG Developments on a creative and marketing consultancy basis since April 2010. Matt Leigh, also formerly of Bruntwood,

will continue in this role for a handover period, before moving on to start a new career with Cumbria-based VO2 Max Events.
