NG Chartered Surveyors rings the changes – with promotions and a new office location.

wantspacegotspace.co.uk - NG Chartered Surveyors rings the changes – with promotions and a new office location. The NG team has moved from its city base to new premises in Loughborough Road, West Bridgford. At the same time, NG will become a limited company and Jonathon Seddon and Sunny Landa will become directors, as will practice manager Sarah Shepherd who has been with the company for 28 years. NG’s senior partner, Ray Valenti, is to step down after 30 years to take on a consultancy role with the firm.

Richard Brown will become NG’s new MD. He said: “I am delighted that these changes will enable us to take the firm forward, and particularly that Jonathon and Sunny are taking up more prominent roles with NG; this underlines our belief in their expertise and their abilities.”

Richard Sutton said: “The move has been driven by an increase in enquiries in the area and a growing number of opportunities. We are looking forward to a new era. The move and the firm’s reorganisation will reinvigorate NG and will see the company moving to an exciting new period of development.

“We all see these changes as the next phase of our evolution. NG is to undergo a transformation in terms of its team and its location, but which will not affect our core business.”

NG will be moving to premises in West Bridgford where it intends to continue to expand in the area. “You don’t have to be in the city centre to make a successful property business,” says Richard Sutton. “And being based there is a lifestyle choice too with members of the team living close by.”

Sunny said: “The changes at NG herald a new era for the company and I am extremely pleased and proud to continue being part of that.

“In the face of a challenging market, it is vital that firms like NG are ever more focussed on delivering results. Trading conditions remain tough, but through our tenacity and proactive, innovative marketing we have managed to consistently close deals – and we will continue to do so.”

Henry Henson, who joined NG 18 months ago, will be very much part of NG’s future plans, says Richard Sutton. “The NG ethos is about growing our talented people. Both myself and Sunny are Nottingham Trent University Graduates , joined NG and have worked hard to push the business forward. Our belief is that if you put in the effort, then it is possible to reap the rewards.”

It has been a great year for NG, being recently recognised by leading property magazine Estates Gazette and its online edition EGi, for its work over the past 12 months.

NG took third position in Nottinghamshire’s ‘most active agent’ category. With its six-strong surveying team, it says NG has “punched well above its weight” – with firms in the top two slots being regional heavyweights.

Jonathon said: “In challenging times, agencies have to be more focussed on delivering results than ever before. Therefore this accolade from a premier commercial property publication is really pleasing, reflecting the hard work of our staff.”

Over the past 12 months, NG successes include a string of lettings at Moorgreen Industrial Estate’s Sycamore Pods, the sale of 16 Regent Street and two lettings of office space at the Old Pumphouse in the Ropewalk. NG was also responsible for the sale of Weldon Road Industrial Estate in Loughborough last month.

NG says it has seen growth in demand for industrial premises, and business has also been boosted by the improvements in the office market in Nottinghamshire.  NG has busy on a range of office deals in the city – including several period properties in Ropewalk and the Lacemarket.

Richard Sutton added: “We have experienced an increase in enquiry levels in all areas of the industrial sector, with manufacturing particularly strong. There has also been an increase in activity in the office sector – with NG sealing a number of deals in West Bridgford and the city centre.
