Occupiers commit to Cheltenham’s premier trade counter destination, Kingsditch Trade Park

Occupiers commit to refurbished schemeCheltenham’s premier trade counter destination, Kingsditch Trade Park, has successfully attracted a new tenant in addition to securing the long term occupancy of two of its existing occupiers following an extensive refurbishment programme.

National trade counter operator Toolstation are the newest addition to the trade park having completed a new lease of Unit Z3 Kingsditch Lane. The unit, along with others fronting the busy Kingsditch Lane, has been refurbished by owners Prupim to provide upgraded trade counter accommodation with new roof, retail style fascias and new signage opportunities. The refurbishment scheme has breathed new life into the trade park following its last upgrade approximately 8 years ago. Toolstation join occupiers such as Screwfix, Brandon Tool Hire and Tile Giant.

Philip MacLauchlan, responsible for the Toolstation expansion, said “We are very happy with the quality and prominence of the refurbished unit and have now fitted out the unit and started trading exactly in line with expectations. Kingsditch Trade Park has the blend of national and local building related trade occupiers and activity that we seek together with roadside presence.”

KBW Chartered Surveyors, letting agents for the scheme, are pleased with the interest levels post the commencement of the refurbishment works. Bob Allen, Senior Surveyor at KBW said “The trade park was in need of an upgrade to attract the type of new occupier that we are looking to secure for Prupim. The refurbished scheme provides a fresh product which has certainly captured the attention of the market. We’ve seen an increase in enquiries for the units since the contractors started on site and the arrival of Toolstation has also served to generate interest in the scheme once more”.

Existing occupiers Bensons Beds and Corinium Carpets have also committed to the scheme by signing new long term leases negotiated by KBW. Both companies are well established on the trade park and have agreed to renew terms following Prupim’s purchase and will now benefit from significantly improved units from which to trade from.
