The deals come within quick succession of each other, and signal a significant upturn at the top end of the Reading office market.

Care UK, a leading independent provider of healthcare services, has signed a 10 year lease, taking 4,880 sq ft on the ground floor of Hawker House, at a rent of £22.50 per sq ft. The company is adding to the space it already occupies at the building – in September 2012 it took 7,736 sq ft on a 10 year lease.

In addition, AlwaysOn, a communications provider, has taken a lease for ten years and six months on 3,875 sq ft on the ground floor of Pennant House at a rent of £17 per sq ft. RO is also in solicitors hands on two other lettings totalling 5,857 sq ft.
