Existing customer Fareshare, a UK charity which seeks to relieve food poverty through the redistribution of food waste, has doubled its space on the estate by moving to a new 11,500 sq ft unit on a 12 year lease. The new space will be used for the storage and distribution of food products.
Meanwhile, Flint Hire and Supply Ltd, the largest retailer of theatrical products in the UK, has secured a 10,387 sq ft unit, with a five year lease. The unit will be used for the storage and distribution of goods to a variety of clients around the country, including schools, shops, museums and the film and television industry. Recent clients have included the Olympic and Paralympic opening and closing ceremony teams.
Ben Lyle, Managing Director of Flint Hire and Supply commented: “Moving to Deptford Trading Estate will allow us to continue to provide an efficient and reliable service to our clients. The new facility will enable us to carrying on meeting existing customer demand as well as allowing us to secure new business in Greater London and throughout the UK.”

Deptford Trading Estate is located within an established industrial and warehouse location with convenient access to Central London, Docklands and the City.

He added: “We also welcome the Secretary of State’s approach to only grant exemptions to those local authorities which can demonstrate exceptional circumstances, confirming the Government’s intent that this new measure will be successful and widely used.”
