Spotlight on Telford

wantspacegotspace.co.uk - Spotlight on TelfordThe Telford and The Black Country branch of  Forum for the Built Environment (fbe) will host a networking breakfast  at Telford Campus of the University of Wolverhampton, Telford, on the 26th of November.

The  meeting includes a number of presentations that will cover an update on current and planned major projects in the region alongside an insight into sustainable construction.

Guest speakers include Kate Callis, Assistant Director for Development for Telford & Wrekin Council, who will focus on the major developments in Telford such as the multimillion Southwater development and other proposed initiatives.

Simon Thompson from Seddon construction will talk about their recent Sanctuary Housing project  and Lyndsey Martin of Bauder will present an insight into green roofs with a local example of a successful installation.

Jonathan Astley , chairman of the fbe committee for the Black Country and Telford branch said: “These meetings provide an opportunity for local property and construction professionals to discover more about industry progress in their area, whilst meeting potential business contacts.

“We’re very excited to have Lyndsey, Simon and Kate as guest speakers for this event. It’s a chance for the region’s construction community to take part in an informative discussion with local experts interested in the same issues as they are.

“The feedback we receive after each event is always very positive. We’ve received an incredible amount of support, and are proud to host key industry influencers at each meeting.

The meeting  starts at  7.30am  and a full breakfast is provided .
