wantspacegotspace.co.uk - St Andrews Timber & Building Supplies Ltd seeks growth with expansion at Prestonfield ParkSt Andrews Timber & Building Supplies Ltd, an independent timber building and landscaping merchant, has secured a new unit in Prestonfield Park to the south east of Edinburgh city centre, adding to its existing showroom and trade centre at the site.

The company has agreed a deal for a five year lease with landlord Prestonfield Development Co. Ltd., a joint venture between J. Smart & Co. (Contractors) PLC and Westerwood Ltd.,  for Unit 2, Block F – a 3,240 sq ft mid-terrace unit. The new unit will be used to accommodate continued growth of the Edinburgh-based business and hold more stock for its trade and retail customers.

St Andrews already occupy Unit H in Phase 2 of Prestonfield Park which acts as the company’s showroom and trade centre. Established in 2002, the company is a one stop shop for construction trade and retail requirements, with an extensive stock range held on site.

Comprising a total of 10 industrial units, Prestonfield Park currently has a range of tenants including PTS Building Supplies, Nairn’s Oatcakes, Howden’s Joinery and The City of Edinburgh Council. Access to the park is via Peffermill Road which connects to the A7 – one of the main arterial routes in the city - and the A1 lies approximately two miles to the east.

Unit 3, Block F, is now the last available unit at Prestonfield Park, spanning approximately 4,914 sq ft Jones Lang LaSalle and Burns and Shaw are joint agents for the park.

Niall Burns, Partner at Burns & Shaw, commented: “We are glad to have been able to accommodate St Andrews’ expansion plans at Prestonfield Park. With strong interest in the remaining unit we expect that there will be no room at the Inn over Christmas.

Kirsty Palmer, Associate Director, Industrial and Logistics, for Jones Lang LaSalle, commented: “St Andrews’ expansion at Prestonfield Park is testament to the quality of accommodation on site, and its excellent links to Edinburgh city centre and the wider area. Only one unit remains vacant at the site, and we don’t expect this to remain vacant for long”.
