wantspacegotspace.co.uk - SWIP’s AIPUT completes 53,000 sq ft Heathrow letting with DHLSWIP (Scottish Widows Investment Partnership) today announces that its Airport Industrial Property Unit Trust (AIPUT), a specialist owner and manager of airport related industrial warehouses, has completed a new letting with DHL Supply Chain at Heathrow Airport.

DHL Supply Chain have committed to 53,000 sq ft of AIPUT’s Grade A warehouse facility on Central Park Estate, Feltham. DHL is to service a range of new airline catering contracts for long haul flights out of the airport from this warehouse facility.

DHL Supply Chain will be investing £8.8m in an end of route return catering facility to create an innovative facility offering advanced food catering capabilities, supported by their latest IT solutions technology, and managed by DHL control tower. This facility will leverage off their existing facility at Colnbrook to offer a range of catering based services including an integrated specialist recycling centre.

AIPUT’s established Central Park Estate of 170,000 sq ft consists of 16 units ranging from 6,000 – 53,000 sq ft. Core occupiers on the estate include DHL Express, Yara, Hertz, Phoenix International, and Mentfield Logistics. The highly secure and strategic estate is located ‘off airport’ in a core logistics area of Heathrow, and provides unrestricted 24/7 access and use along with 24 hour security.

Following this high profile transaction with DHL Supply Chain, only one warehouse unit of 7,000 sq ft remains available at the estate which is currently attracting keen interest.
