SWIP’S AIPUT completes two lettings at Poyle, Heathrow

wantspacegotspace.co.uk - SWIP’S AIPUT completes two lettings at Poyle, HeathrowScottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP), on behalf of its specialist fund Airport Industrial Property Unit Trust (AIPUT), has successfully completed the letting of two refurbished warehouse units at their Blackthorne Crescent Industrial Estate in Poyle, Heathrow.

The two business units, which provide 1,020 sq ft each, have been let to separate occupiers looking to expand their Heathrow operations.

TrucTyre, a specialist company focused on the servicing of tyres for top truck fleets in the UK, is now operating a new rapid response facility from Unit 12.

In the adjoining Unit 13, Impact Express Worldwide, a growing worldwide courier service which offers speedy services to over 240 countries, especially the US, is also now in occupation.

These two new customers join Honda, UPS Supply Chain, CH Robinson and Horizon International on AIPUT’s prime industrial Estate of 170,000 sq ft in central Poyle, which provides units of between 1,000 sq ft to 50,000 sq ft.

Following these lettings, the estate is virtually fully let. AIPUT is currently marketing a unique design & build warehouse facility, Black Arrow, which can provide a facility of 33,000 sq ft. With supply levels of modern warehouses falling at Heathrow, this site of 1.2 acres is attracting notable interest.

Nick Smith, the fund manager for AIPUT commented
“We are delighted that our portfolio has been able to support the expansion of these two growing businesses which provide complimentary services to Heathrow Airport. The lettings display AIPUT’s ability to offer a range of real estate solutions to niche airport service providers, to ensure they can compete and deliver good service levels to their customers from cost-effective premises.

“These refurbished units have only been on the market for a handful of months, so to get them let this quickly is very encouraging and demonstrates the health of this sector of the market.”

AIPUT was represented by Jones Lang LaSalle, Dowley Turner Real Estate and Eversheds.
