Tessuti takes two more stores within Intu

wantspacegotspace.co.uk - Tessuti takes two more stores within IntuDesigner fashion retailer Tessuti is further strengthening its store presence after signing for two new stores within intu’s portfolio of market leading shopping centres. The retailer is
expanding at both intu Trafford Centre and intu Metrocentre.

Tessuti has opened a 4,649 sq ft store on the lower level of the mall within Peel Avenue at intu Trafford Centre after signing a 10 year lease for the scheme. The store sits a floor below the retailer’s existing store at 129-131 Regent Crescent, which features more of a casual wear bias. The new store, which is branded Tessuti Collections, offers customers a wider range of formal brands as well as the casual wardrobe classics Tessuti is renowned for, from a range of brands that include Armani Jeans, Stone Island and Hugo Boss.

The new store will also see the introduction of womenswear to the intu Trafford Centre Collections store with offerings from some of the world’s best known labels.

Meanwhile at intu Metrocentre Tessuti is to open a womenswear store following the success of its menswear store, which opened at the end of November 2012. The retailer has signed a 10 year lease for the 4,267 sq ft store which will be located in the newly rebranded Platinum Mall.

This store at intu Metrocentre forms part of an aspirational tenant mix that makes up Platinum Mall – a £5 million investment that is seeing intu redevelop and refurbish the existing mall to create a more premium end shopping offer for its customers.

Tessuti was established in 1985 as a continental designer menswear specialist, which later expanded to cater for women and children too.

Kate Grant, asset management director at intu, said: “As a high end designerwear specialist, the expansion of Tessuti with us demonstrates our commitment to providing the best choice of stores for our fashion conscious shoppers in these two locations.“

Tracey Maw, head of marketing at Tessuti said: “Intu’s portfolio and fashion conscious shopper base is the perfect location for our designerwear offer. Our intu Metrocentre store has already performed well in the few months it has been open so we are delighted to be both expanding that store and also to have opened our second store at intu Trafford Centre."

Intu Trafford Centre was represented by Cushman & Wakefield whilst at intu Metrocentre the deal was handled by intu’s in-house leasing team. Tessuti Group represented itself on both
deals.
