The Battle of Adwalton Business Park Leeds

wantspacegotspace.co.uk - The Battle of Adwalton Business Park LeedsWhilst the not so well known first battle of Adwalton Moor saw the Cavaliers defeat the Roundheads in an afternoon, the second battle of Adwalton Business Park has seen Gent Visick and Begbies Traynor emerge victorious after a prolonged 4 year struggle!

Adwalton Business Park, which comprises 46,500 sq ft over 13 light industrial and office units, was purchased by Adwalton (Holdings) Limited for £1.3 million.

Gent Visick and Begbies Traynor were appointed on the project 4 years ago by Allied Irish Bank when the property’s owner declared bankruptcy. Over that period the partnership has overseen a complete restructure of the estate and tenant profile to create an attractive opportunity for investors.

Adwalton (Holdings) Limited is part of a group of companies which also include Cartonage Limited and KOJ Packaging Limited. Adwalton Business Park was purchased as an investment and to provide the company’s new Headquarters.

Andrew Eastham from KOJ Packaging said, “Not only have we been able to find the ideal units for our occupation, capable of accommodating our large scale presses, we also have the benefit of owning the whole of the estate and receiving the income stream from the existing tenants.”

Gidon Amar of Gent Visick said “We have been working alongside Begbies Traynor now for four years overseeing the transformation of Adwalton which has always had excellent potential for an investor. In Adwalton (Holdings) Limited we have found the right purchaser for the estate who can manage it effectively and see real value in the existing tenant base.”

Steve Williams of Begbies Traynor said “Adwalton was one of those estates which threw everything at us. Over the time we have been instructed our partnership with Gent Visick has been crucial in adopting a management system, finding an exit strategy for the bank whilst building a new and robust tenant base on the estate.”
