wantspacegotspace.co.uk - The White Company to open at St David’s, Cardiff – another first for WalesLuxury clothing and homeware brand The White Company is to open its first store in Wales at St David’s, the Cardiff city centre shopping scheme jointly owned by Intu Properties plc and Land Securities. The retailer becomes the latest in a number of luxury high street brands, including Vivienne Westwood and Armani Exchange, to have taken a store at Wales’ leading fashion and brand destination.

The White Company,  which specialises in the supply of stylish, white designer quality home items and which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, will open a 4,559 sq ft store close to Coast and Karen Millen at the John Lewis end of the scheme. It has signed a ten year lease for the unit which is due to open at the end of the summer.

Joanne Skilton, Retail and Leasing Director for St David’s Partnership, said: “We are delighted to announce the arrival of The White Company, which further strengthens the mix of quality fashion and homewares retailers within St David’s and will be an additional draw for our 37 million shoppers a year. We have also signed up quirky stationers Blott this month and are close to exchange with another major luxury brand, which is testament to the strength of the offer at St David’s.”

Will Kernan, CEO of The White Company, said “We are delighted to finally be opening a store in what is a superb market,  providing new and existing customers with luxury products at competitive prices. The White Company is synonymous with timeless, understated and elegant collections. Brand integrity and quality is our company trademark. As the premier shopping and leisure destination in the region, St David’s was the obvious choice for our first stand alone store in Wales.”

St David’s is represented by Jones Lang LaSalle and Cushman & Wakefield. The White Company was represented by Space.
