Truck firm lease extension drives interest in storage yard opportunity

wantspacegotspace.co.uk - Truck firm lease extension drives interest in storage yard opportunityDawsonrentals Truck and Trailer Ltd has extended its lease on a 1.7 acre site on London Road – a deal which is expected to lead to strong interest in similar opportunities nearby.

Highland Properties Group has extended their lease with Dawsonrentals, one of the UK’s leading specialists in truck and trailer rental, for a seven-year period.

The site is located close to another 17 acre site which is also owned by Highland Properties Group, and is currently available To Let offering secure external storage yards from two to 17 acres.

That site, adjacent to established national businesses including Wickes, Jewson and Arnold Clark, is expected to attract interest from a wide range of industrial companies needing external storage space.
Paul Sweeney, at Jones Lang LaSalle, said: “The London Road site offers a unique opportunity to let a small, medium or large site close to Junction 2A of the M74 motorway, Glasgow city centre and the main Commonwealth Games venues in the east end.

“Flexible leasing options are available on fully surfaced and fenced yards. The yards will be tailored to specific requirements and can be serviced to a high standard if required.”

“Dawsonrentals Truck and Trailer Ltd extending their lease close by, re-affirms the areas popularity with industrial businesses. Some other major industrial companies such as Glacier Energy Services and Polypipe are located in the vicinity and all are testament to the strength this location.

Freya Dawson, Group Property Executive said ‘We were eager to agree a longer term lease over our site because we have operated successfully here for a number of years and benefit from being so well connected to the national motorway network.’

The Glasgow Gait site has prominence onto London Road, one of Glasgow’s arterial routes, and is easily accessible from that main thoroughfare as well as Junction 2A of the M74. The site is located less than four miles east of the city centre.
