These two established estates are home to much of the Borough's industrial activity (excluding Land Rover), although recently there has been increasing redevelopment of office space on former industrial sites. Located 2.5 km along the A34 from Junction 4 of the M42, these sites in South Shirley are affectively fully developed. Elmdon Trading Estate
Elmdon Trading Estate lies adjacent to the Airport and International Railway Station and offers industrial and warehouse units. The extension to the estate, Birmingham International Park will provide a total of 43 acres of warehousing, light industrial and office space. It is already home to TNT Automotive Logistics and Sonic Communications International.
Solihull Business Park
The 25 acre park is being developed in several phases, with the first headquarters building already in occupation by Enterprise Inns. The M42 is approximately one mile via the A34 giving direct access to the country's motorway network.
